Potassium polyacrylate is a kind of superabsorbent polymer(SAP) with good water absorption and water retention ability. It can absorb water up to several hundred times of its own weight, and turn into natural gel from within seconds,it can be used for drought resistance and water conservation in agriculture and forestry.By combining with potassium ions in soil, it not only enhances the activity and availability of soil potassium, but also promotes the healthy growth of plants. Its water retention and slow release provide a strong guarantee for crops in adversity.

How it works

The Soil Hydrogel by Secco potassium polyacrylate has the proper three dimensional net structure which enhances the ability to combine itself with large quantities of water. When the soil becomes dry it would release more than 80% of its stored moisture back into the soil to ensure that the plant is properly hydrated and has sufficient water.

Product feature

1,High performance of water absorption, water retaining and water releasing According to Agricultural Industrial Standard (NY886-2010) , the water absorption capacity of SAP for pure water should be 100-700 times of self- weight. The capacity would be reduced 30%-50% due to influence of multiple reasons like soil pressure, mineral substances etc. When raining or watering, SAP would absorb water quickly and store it. When the plant needs, it will release water slowly. What will ensure the normal needed water for plant growth and reduce the loss of water and nutrients due to evaporation and leakage.

2,Good performance of fertilizer absorption, fertilizer retaining and fertilizer releasing SAP can be mixed and used together with SAP. While SAP absorbing water, it can absorb and store fertilizers as well to form a "micro-water fertilizer bank". Then it would release the water and fertilizer slowly in dry season, what increased fertilizer utilization, reduced fertilizer loss and increased fertilizer efficiency.

3,Good soil conditioner SAP would release water shrinkage & water swelling repeatedly in the soil, causing a lot of porosity which improve soil permeability and the root environment. It also enhances the actives of root microbes which improved soil matrix, prevent soil compaction and salinization.
